Luke Daniel Peacock Reveals Pop Ballad“The Common Good”
Get ready for this expansive pop ballad as Brisbane musician Luke Daniel Peacock debuts his new single “The Common Good”. This summer pop anthem rounds out his trilogy of singles for 2020 which included “Give Me a Reason” and “The Odd Specifics” (both praised by NME, triple j Unearthed, PileRats, Tone Deaf, FBI, 4ZZZ, Radio Adelaide and The Music).
Peacock’s angelic vocals, culminating in a synth-pop anthem explore the future which looks at being brave enough to turn dreams into reality.
“I guess it’s me dreaming of a future where these people stop dreaming and find the courage to let their feet touch the ground.”
The chords used are harmonious and supportive of Peacock’s warm and resonant tone colour, allowing for a rich and atmospheric sound to be discovered.
Luke has recorded, performed and toured across the world with some of the most revered and respected names in Australian and international music, including Paul Kelly, Ball Park Music, Cub Sport and Montaigne. In addition to his solo work, Luke is a member of two bands: Headland, which creates experimental atmospheric/psychedelic band that makes music for surf films and features members of Wolf & Cub, The Cruel Sea, The Go-Betweens and GO, and Minor Premiers, an indie rock band who released their album Sheets in the Garden in June 2020 to positive reviews.
Simultaneously, Luke also featured as a performer and curator of the 13th Isol-aid Festival, and his first single of 2020 “Older Then” shot to #2 on the AMRAP Metro charts.
