Tommy Harris Reveals New EP “Butterflies & Feels”
Tommy Harris has released his anticipated new EP Butterflies and Feels. The producer and singer-songwriter has delivered a slew of songs that come straight from the heart. With a mixture of organic instrumentation and electronic and alternative elements, the EP showcases Tommy’s range and talent.
The EP features the past singles “Florence” and “Broken” that have set up the fresh, pop tone of the EP. “Florence” reflects on the ups and downs of relationships, life changes, and the emotions that accompany them. On the flip side, “Broken” focuses on the aftermath of a breakup reminiscing on that love as Tommy opens up about his heartbreak.
Starting off with a sweet acoustic melody, “Butterflies” is about the process of falling in love and making memories together. With a bit of a pop influence and echoing vocals, this one's an instant classic.
“Die With U” definitely brings the groove. The lively tune is the perfect song to play at a party if you’re trying to be honest about your feelings for someone, but still want to have a good time.
Raw with sentiments from an old relationship, “Love for You” looks at the past through a realistic lens. The piano keeps the tempo and the energy up as Tommy reveals where he stands on his previous romantic involvement.
“Night & Day” slows things down with a sincere guitar that accompanies Tommy’s honest feelings, both negative and positive. He manages to sneak in a pop element that’s reflective of his motivation to move on even if he’s still thinking about that past love.
“The EP is all about the life experiences we all go through and how things in life start to change with ups and downs, relationships changing and both the happy and painful emotions that come with that,” said Tommy. “Butterflies & Feels represents my anxiety and nerves (‘Butterflies’) and the full range of emotions and pain (‘Feels’) that come with all these new feelings. Working with Taka Perry on the whole production of the EP was such a huge learning curve. He is such a legend and taught me so much about producing and songwriting and really mentored me through the whole release process.”
In the lead up to Butterflies and Feels, Tommy Harris has been uncovering his style within the alt-pop space, finding a pop fueled, danceable place while remaining introspective and sharp.
