Sarah Wolfe Teams Up With the Flowers for Pop Banger "100 Times"
Sydney musician Sarah Wolfe has released her latest track “100 Times,” a collaboration with up-and-coming indie group the Flowers. It’s an upbeat, poppy, guitar-centric tune that feels perfect for the gorgeous weather we’ve been having lately, and it’s also making us nostalgic for those pre-iso days when we could have our mates round for a barbie and a drink. But, until we get those days back, this song is a great soundtrack to our fantasies.
The song begins with gentle guitar picks and soft vocals before amalgamating with a driving bassline to swell into a banger of a chorus, complete with handclaps and a chorus that you just want to scream at your crush. I’d love you right! the artists exclaim. You can have it any way that you’d like. It feels like those moments when you’re just so frustrated by how much you feel for that one person, so annoyed by how much of yourself you’re willing to give them, yet it feels like they don’t seem to get it through their heads.
We’ve heard there’s also a super cute iso-style video coming next week, which we can’t wait to see!
Sarah Wolfe is following a string of bops with “100 Times” after releasing “Devil U Know” and “U Think This is a Game?” last year. It is a worthy match for the incredible introductions she has made through her previous singles, and it’s a song that is sure to get heads turning and have people fall in love with Wolfe. It is also a fabulous introduction to the Flowers; lead singer Aggy has actually been friends with Wolfe for fourteen years!
“Was honestly pinching myself when Sarah Wolfe asked us to jump on a track with her,” said Aggy. “Not only is she my bestie, but she is also one of the most exciting Aussie artists working right now, so collaborating with her was a dream! I reckon something was in the air during our writing session, the song came together so naturally and quickly.”
We can’t wait to hear what Sarah has in store for us for the rest of the year, and we’re thankful that she’s back with some great music to keep us sane through iso!
