PARTY IN THE PADDOCK 2023 ANNOUNCES KILLER LINE-UP

PARTY IN THE PADDOCK 2023 ANNOUNCES KILLER LINE-UP

The Paddock is back! Reincarnating this summer 10th, 11th and 12th of February 2023 for the same old Party but in a new Paddock! Rebirthing onto a beautiful new site in Northern Tasmania, Quercus Park, just 25min outside of Launceston. PITP are thrilled to announce its biggest lineup to date; headlining the festival will be Australia's Gang Of Youths, Secret Headliner (a special act still to be announced), Benee, The Presets, Vera Blue, Meg Mac, Methyl Ethel, Hockey Dad and Genesis Owusu.

Gang Of Youths cemented their legendary status in 2015 with their groundbreaking debut album, The Positions. In 2017, they released Go Farther In Lightness which won them ARIA’s Album of the Year, Best Group, Best Rock and Producer of the Year. 2022 was a whirlwind following the release of their third album, angel in realtime. which hit Number 1 on the ARIA Album Charts and went Top 10 in the UK. The band sold out their UK tour,  including their biggest international show in London at O2 Academy Brixton. It sold out dates across the USA and their recent Australian tour earlier this year, propelling our Aussie wonder boys to international supergroup group status.

New Zealand-based artist BENEE is the “dreamy voice of a disaffected generation” who broke through in 2020 with “Supalonely,” her irresistible, four billion streaming alt-pop banger that practically defined the pandemic experience. Her highly personal, Hey u x album was released at the tail end of 2020, and listed as one of Billboard’s “25 Best Pop Albums of 2020,” noting that BENEE “contemplates the woes of Gen Z with a keen ear for choruses and arrangements that oscillate between indie rock and hyperpop.”The whole Paddock is truly amped to witness the up & coming greatness of New Zealand's Billie Eilish.

There will also be features from Australia’s magic music scene, such as rising stars Genesis Owusu with his debut album Smiling with No Teeth landing in ARIA’s Top 30 and receiving the ARIA Music Award for Album of the Year in 2021 and The Presets have long been one of Australia's biggest electronic music exports, releasing imaginative, boundary-pushing techno-pop since the early 2000s (the duo famously toured with Daft Punk in 2007). Recently, they teamed up with rising DJ/producer Golden Features, also from Sydney, on an EP of tunnelling, brutalist electro-house called Raka.

Australian-based singer-songwriter Vera Blue known for her album The Music, which topped at 14 In the ARIA charts, her 2019 ARIA nominated Song of the YearRushing Back”, and her most recent album drop Mercurial will share her talents at this year’s festival. Also joining the lineup this year is one of Paddock's favourites Meg Mac, who unfortunately got rained out in her 2018 PITP experience; fans will be happy to see her back! Meg, best known for her 2017 hit “Low Blows” and 2019’s “Something Tells Me,” was recently nominated for the National Music Awards for International Live Achievement.
