Europe’s finest indie-folk trio Mighty Oaks have dropped their incredible first single of 2019 “All Things Go”. Since joining forces in 2010, the Berlin-based group, comprised of Ian Hooper (US), Claudio Donzelli (Italy), and Craig Saunders (UK) have crafted masterpiece upon masterpiece, recently joining the likes of The Lumineers on their tour across Europe, continuing to surprise their existing fans and entice new ones to their shows each year.

This outstanding new track, made up of cleverly crafted harmonies, maintains the classic indie-folk sound of upbeat acoustics and soothing vocals, while simultaneously serving a refreshing take on the genre.

Listen to "All Things Go" here.

All Things Go” is a recount of band member Ian Hooper’s parents’ love story of how they met in Munich. The track is a parable on the beauty and transience of the moment, “My dad was a broke American graduate student in Munich in the early 80’s and he was invited to a dinner party by a stranger he met on the street. Intrigued as to whether this was a date or not, and never one to pass up a free meal, he accepted the invitation. He shared an elevator on his way up to the flat with another guest to the party, and she would become my mother,” says Hooper. What followed was a transatlantic love story, two kids, and the early death of Hooper’s mother.

All Things Go” is not only a tender song about real love, but also a candid reflection on the brevity of life, loss, farewells, and ultimately, acceptance. “Death is a recurring theme in our music,Hooper explains, “this song is about letting go. Sometimes it happens sooner than you’d have liked. That’s not unfair, it’s how life is. Accepting that takes time, but I’m at a point now where I can accept it as part of being here”.

Mighty Oaks’ self-produced and recorded EP “Driftwood Seat” earned them over 63,000 fans and 370,000 plays on SoundCloud. 2 years succeeding their EP, “Just One Day” - their debut studio EP - saw several chart entries and single of the same name broadcast on radio stations across Europe, along with the trio opening for The Lumineers, First Aid Kit, CHVRCHES, and Kings of Leon

Howl” - their debut album - was released at the beginning of 2014 with both European and international chart entries that followed, while their single “Brother” gained massive airplay throughout Europe, and had sold out their European tour the Spring that same year. The European Festival Awards 2014 saw the trio win “Newcomer of the Year” and were featured on the lineup for multiple festivals including Melt! Festival (Germany),  Montreux Jazz Festival (Switzerland), Latitude (UK), Slotsfjell (Norway), Way Out West (Switzerland), Exit Festival (Serbia), Dockville (Germany), and Valkhof (The Netherlands).

2015 saw the band release their album in the United States, and tour around the US with the renowned, Milky Chance. The trio also featured on the lineup for festivals including Rock am Ring (Germany), Rock im Park (Germany), Lowlands (Netherlands), St. Gallen Open Air (Switzerland), Frequency Festival (Austria) and Lollapalooza (Chicago & Berlin).  After almost two years on tour, the trio traveled back to their home countries to bond with family and reclaim energy and inspiration for their second album “Horsehead Bay”.

The release of the band’s documentary and title of their second album “Horsehead Bay” in  2017 was screened in small theatres globally and released in full on their YouTube channel (here). Their dreamy single “Dreamers” hit the iTunes Charts that same year in Benelux, Norway, Italy, France, Denmark, South Africa, Canada and the US. 2018 saw the band focus on  North America with new album impact date and promotional activities around the US tour starting in Santa Ana, California and included shows in Los Angeles, San Fransisco, Portland, Seattle, Minneapolis, Chicago, Toronto, Boston, and New York.
