BAIO Kicks Off 2021 With Two New Mega Singles, “Dead Hand Control” and “Take It From Me”
BAIO, the solo project of Chris Baio, has just released two new mega singles “Dead Hand Control” and “Take It From Me”. Ahead of his third upcoming studio album, Dead Hand Control due out on the 29th January via Glassnote Records, BAIO has released these highly anticipated singles as an almost teaser for what to expect prior to the launch of his album.
No stranger to the music industry, BAIO was the bassist in American rock band Vampire Weekend since 2006, before embarking on his journey as a solo artist. Thriving in a band which received acclaim and success, including their 2 GRAMMY awards and becoming the first act to have a secured spot as number 1 albums debut on the Billboard Charts 3 times, BAIO looked towards a solo career where he could further his success.
His first EP release “Sunburn” was reflective of the stylistic influence BAIO began to embody as a solo artist emerging in the industry. Infused with inspiration from electronic and dance music, his DJ talents were exposed and showcased which have since gone on to be recognised for his skillful production and multifaceted musical depth.
BAIO released two studio albums, “The Names” in 2015 and “Man of The World” in 2017, and in 2020, released “Endlessly Me, Endlessly” and “What Do You Say When I’m Not There”. Both 2020 singles are set to feature on the upcoming studio album and parallel each other in a way, exploring the enduring power of connection that we desire in contrast to the reality and conflict of not knowing how others truly feel. In true BAIO style, these tracks are infused with funky beats and electronic elements.
