True Transcendence, Aeora Releases Fresh Single “Freedom”

Going three for three, dark pop queen Aeora releases her third single of 2020 “Freedom”. A sincere exposition of the Melbourne singer/songwriter’s multidimensional vocal range.

Finding her own sense of “Freedom”, Aeora explores the depth of affinity beyond the traditional model of monogamy. Coming into her own model of a relationship, “Freedom” denotes autonomous freedom within the boundaries of a new bond, the concession of both.

“I was in this really open and freeing time of my life where I was meeting new people and really just living through my intuition.” Said Aeora, “I met my now partner and suddenly that idea of freedom within me got messed around. We started as an open relationship, and at the time it could be messy but as a whole it really challenged my idea of relationships and my idea of freedom.”

The conception of “Freedom” came around the time of Aeora's heavy rotation of R&B artists Amber Mark, Nao, Little Dragon, Mahalia, Little Simz among others. While imitating the R&B inspiration of such artists, Aeora combines her innate dark pop edge and electronic sound to concoct an empyrean soundscape.  

After a two year hiatus between 2018 and early 2020, Aeora has truly taken the time to come into her craft and develop her artistry enormously, focussing on writing and production. “Freedom” marks the close of Aeora’s monumental year, the ethereal songstress continues to make her return known.
