LUWTEN Shares Single "Nothing New" From Upcoming EP

Dutch artist Tessa Douwstra, known as LUWTEN, has given us a taste of her promising new EP with her new single “Nothing New''.

Tessa is known for her introspective music that touches the head and the heart. This time around she’s drawn from her experience of being exposed to religion to create “Nothing New''. Her exposure to faith and its ideals made her come face to face with ideas that contradicted her very nature.

“Nothing New'' is a song about breaking patterns, regarding things like tradition and religion that get passed on from generation to generation. Pointing out that it’s nothing new but posing the question of: can it change? Do we change? And if so, how do we do that?

LUWTEN is meticulous with her music. Every aspect is created and thought of by her. On this track she features sounds from different religions to illustrate the loss of a collective belief.

Her musical genius is rare and admirable. It has allowed her to connect with her audience over the years and earned her well deserved praise that we’re sure we will hear more of with her upcoming release!
