American Pop Artist yung sum Releases New Single “california”
yung sum has served up his latest pop piece “california”. Complete with soft production, the track utilises a bold piano layer that compliments yung sum’s melodic vocals. From a slow build, the song progresses into electronic beats with the incorporation of a dog barking on the beat within the sonic layers.
“california is about learning to love yourself, getting through obstacles that prepare you for future growth. The writing, and production process was straightforward,” yung sum said. “I came up with the main line, ‘I’m afraid to love you now,’ and it all fell into place. What I’d like for people to take away from this track is that it’s okay to struggle and push yourself to be where you want to be. Just don’t be too hard on yourself.”
