Dylan Cartlidge Strikes Again With His Latest Single “Anything Could Happen”
Back at it again, providing us with all of the good tunes is UK’s Dylan Cartlidge, the freshest face of Vintage Soul. Dylan is serving all smiles with his latest single “Anything Could Happen”, the ultimate laid-back, up-beat track. Making every day feel like summer, this song is rich with dreamy harmonies and Dylan’s boisterous vocals to keep you in high spirits.
“Anything Could Happen is a song that I wrote in the third UK COVID-19 lockdown. Like everyone else, I was fed up with not seeing my loved ones and hadn't left the house at all for 7 months due to my rubbish lungs. I was at a loose end, struggling with my PTSD and had no idea how I was going to finish my album.
So I decided to focus on my mantra, 'Hope Above Adversity'; the sole reason I embarked on my music career in the first place. I went back to basics and reminded myself that with a bit of hope and courage to put one foot in front of the other, anything really could happen- including finishing my album! I wrote the song as a reminder to me and anyone else who might be struggling in the face of adversity and hardship that the bad days don't last forever and if you look hard enough, there is always hope to hold onto.
With COVID vaccines being rolled out and cases falling again, I hope that this single can mark the beginning of the end of what has been such an uncertain and testing time for everyone,” said Dylan.
This release from Dylan Cartlidge follows his first single of 2021 “Molasses (Walk the Walk)” which was incredibly well received. Having landed multiple spots among highly regarded playlists across reputable streaming platforms Spotify, Apple Music, Amazon and Deezer as well hitting a long list of US and UK radio stations, including BBC Radio 1, it is certain that Dylan is taking the world by storm.
Hailing from a small town in the North-East of England, Dylan Cartlidge has long since embraced the phrase "Hope Above Adversity" as his motto. His life path took a turn out of being submerged in adversity and gave him hope for his future when he was spotted and signed to Glassnote Records in 2018.
Seeing as though it’s only now March and Dylan has already given us two songs in 2021, it is likely that we’ll be seeing a lot more from the funk master. By no means are we complaining about that.
