AURORA Is an Ethereal Entity in Her Latest Single “Cure For Me”

AURORA, the otherworldly spirit who blesses earth, has enchanted us further with the release of her latest single “Cure For Me”. A deep reminder of who she is and what she can do, this song embodies the character and fashions of AURORA’s past styles while incorporating new pop infused elements, proving herself to be a versatile queen.

If you’re familiar with AURORA, you’ll know that she is like a mythical creature, a warrior that personifies all things ethereal and angelic. With a persona so unique and individualised she could never be mistaken, this track is no different. Though taking on a pop edge, “Cure For Me” is eccentric on its own; complete with voice flutters and fast changes in pitch.

“Sometimes I feel like the whole world Is trying to convince you something is wrong with you. And sadly often people believe this to be true,” said AURORA. “It is very scary how easy it is for someone to convince you that you are wrong. Or that you are overly emotional, too strange, and not good enough. And I think it’s about time we shut those voices out. Because in no way should anyone convince you that you are not worthy because of the way you look, or act, believe in or love. We should be allowed to be human. And we don’t need a cure for it.”

At the ripe age of 23, AURORA has the world in her palms, having claimed some of the most unimaginable achievements. With over one billion streams and five million followers under her belt, she is taking over the world, one divine song at a time.

Born near the city of Bergen, AURORA began writing music and lyrics at a young age, releasing her debut single “Awakening” in 2013, following up with “Under Stars”, which led her to be signed by American label Glassnote. AURORA came to further prominence in 2015 with the release of her debut album ‘All My Demons Greeting Me as a Friend’, which charted at number one in Norway and across Western Europe.

She released ‘Infections of a Different Kind (Step I)’ in 2018, as the first part of the two album release and followed this up with ‘A Different Kind of Human (Step II)’ in May 2019, to widespread critical acclaim. AURORA’s 2019 single “Animal” was added to full rotation on triple j and performances at Groovin’ The Moo 2019 solidified her strong presence in the Australian music scene. AURORA also featured on the soundtrack to the award winning Disney film Frozen II, which saw her perform the movie’s hit “Into The Unknown” on stage alongside star Idina Menzel, as part of the 92nd Academy Awards.
