Bri Clark Release New Emotional Track “Red Flag”
Impeccable singer songwriter from Perth, Bri Clark, has just released her newest single “Red Flag”. It is no surprise that Bri has returned with yet another classic hit that drowns the listeners into a sea of passion and intensity, and we are taking it all in!
Having released her single “Waiting” earlier this year, the track gave us echoes of sweet vocals and touched our hearts as Bri explained how she sacrificed parts of her self-worth to be seen and heard from a past love interest. It is evident that her expression of love, pain, and passion through her relationships is best translated through her compelling vocals combined with dynamic instrumentals. Through this we can expect even more captivating tunes and a chance to challenge our ideas of normalcy in relationships.
The single focuses on the darker side of relationships and the blinding habits that come as a result of craving intimacy and affection. Sultry instrumentals encompass the track as Bri unveils her ethereal vocals that represent the relationship's pain and heartache, further elucidating the physical affliction experienced throughout.
Bri explained “Red Flag was a really uncomfortable song to write and probably the hardest to get right production wise. The chorus speaks to the blinding red flags that I noticed once all the debris started clearing from my head.”
In 2018 Bri was selected for the APRA AMCOS SongHubs initiative, performing an exclusive songwriters showcase at BIGSOUND and attending a series of intensive songwriting boot camps curated by the likes of Robert Conley (2018), Georgina McAvenna (The Tower, 2019), and PJ Harding (The Tower, 2021). She was the first ever recipient of the APRA AMCOS Female Mentorship program, being mentored by Mark Lizotte (Diesel) in the songwriting category before becoming a mentor herself in 2021 for APRA’s inaugural SongGeneration program. In the last year alone, 12 of Bri’s songs have been released by the likes of Dami Im, AYA YVES, and Sarah Saint James for her TikTok hit ‘Mad at God’. She has had four Vanda & Young shortlisted songs in the last three years, and has confirmed songwriting credits on the upcoming sophomore record from indie-pop heavyweight, Vera Blue.The dark-pop nuances and hard-hitting production throughout the track create a song that you cannot stop listening to as you dive into Bri’s experience with the dark side of relationships.
