Alta Falls Sends Us Flying With “Take Me On Down”

Brisbane’s duo Alta Falls has officially entered the alternative scene with their melodic track “Take Me On Down”. The duo have artistically mixed 80’s synth with guitar and drum beats native to the indie genre.

The lyrics of the song touch upon the feeling of experiencing a different perspective, encountering a new point of view and the liberation that comes with that. “Take Me On Down” has harmonies and melodies that feel like flying. With influences from The Wombats and The Weeknd, it’s no surprise that it evokes such a feeling.

Alta Falls wrote the song as a result of the lockdown last year. They took being isolated from the rest of the world as an opportunity to look within themselves and reflect on the perspectives and prejudices that were present in their lives. By doing this they were able to not only find different viewpoints that allowed them to see the world with fresh eyes but also form a music force to express themselves.

Take Me On Down” is the duo’s example of making the best out of a tough situation and creating something beautiful out of it. It encourages listeners to do the same and open up their world to new ideas so they can fly with the artists.

Making an upbeat and catchy tune is easy, but making an upbeat and catchy tune with a deeper message aimed at opening the minds and hearts of your audience is no easy feat. Alta Falls has had an great start to their careers with only more to come in 2021.
